MICRO-A Titanium Supply offers compacted forgings in various sizes, including bars, shafts, sleeves, rings, discs, and rectangular blocks. The special metallurgical properties of these forgings make them very strong and tough, which is ideal for many uses that need both corrosion resistance and strength.

Die Forging Process:

  1. Start with a blank piece of metal.
  2. Heat the forging billet.
  3. Roll the blank into shape.
  4. Forge the metal into its final shape.
  5. Trim any excess material.
  6. Punch holes if needed.
  7. Correct any misalignments.
  8. Inspect the forgings for size and surface defects.
  9. Heat treat the forgings to remove stress and improve cutting performance.
  10. Clean the surface to get rid of any oxide scale.
  11. Correct again if needed.

In general, forgings should be checked for appearance and hardness. Important forgings should also be tested for chemical composition, mechanical properties, residual stress, and undergo nondestructive testing.

The DIA5000mm production line has a 4000T hydraulic press and a 5m ring rolling machine, with a maximum radial rolling force of 315 tons and an axial rolling force of 250 tons. The DIA9000mm production line has a 5000T hydraulic press and a 9m ring rolling machine, with a maximum radial rolling force of 900 tons and an axial rolling force of 600 tons.

We can machine forged titanium parts according to customer drawings. MICRO-A Titanium has a complete stock of standard molds for titanium rings, targets, and disks. We also offer custom titanium forging and casting for specially designed parts. Additionally, we can provide molds as part of the product delivery. We take extra care to ensure that our titanium forgings are cleaned properly and carefully inspected before shipping.
